Volunteer Opportunities

The Archaeological Society of South Carolina's website has a list of volunteer opportunities in South Carolina.

A unique archaeological experience can be had at the Johannes Kolb Site on the Great Pee Dee Heritage Preserve in Darlington County. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in partnership with The Diachronic Research Foundation, the University of South Carolina Lancaster and Citizens of the Pee Dee conduct excavations every March. Volunteers and visitors are welcome.

The National Park Service provides a wealth of Volunteer Opportunities including their own Volunteer-in-Parks program.

The United States Forest Service's Passport in Time, a volunteer archaeology and historic preservation program.
