Professional and Avocational Organizations
Colleges and Universities The following institutions in South Carolina have programs or classes in archaeology. Most also offer opportunities for non-students to participate in laboratory analysis and fieldwork.
Local Organizations The Charleston Museum seeks to preserve and interpret the cultural and natural history of Charleston and the Lowcountry. The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts and material culture that provide testimony to the state’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
